Seth Lynn Cox loved to ski, hike, hunt, referee sports and climb mountains. He reached numerous summits in the Western US including Mt. Rainier 5 times. His unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ sustained him through many trials. Born in Lovell, Wyoming April 26, 1948 to Basil Hugh and Mabel Taylor Cox, he was the 4th of 7 children. Graduated from Palouse HS in 1966, he served his LDS mission in Northern California, 1967-69. He received a BS degree from Washington State University in computer science, the only member of his family to graduate from college. He married Tamra Tuttle on March 22, 1986 in the Seattle Temple. They are parents of 3 children. Seth left mortality February 15, 2017, preceded in death by his parents, his only brother and a sister. He is survived by 4 sisters, his wife, daughter Casey, son Trevor (Effie) and daughter Sahale “Holly." Funeral services are Wednesday, February 22 at 11 am at the Grantsville West Stake Center, 115 E. Cherry Street, visitation from 9-10:30 am, prior to the services. Interment in the Grantsville City Cemetery. The Cox family appreciates Tooele Dialysis for 8+ years of kind treatment while Seth finished his life’s work.

Linda Mae Jones passed away February 21, 2017. She was the mother to four children: Tami (Britt) Dymock, Janice (Brian) Leaf, Brian (Elisha) Jones, and Kristine (Damian) Martinez. At her time of death she had 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild with one great grandchild on the way. She was proceeded in death by her husband Arthur, her parents Leonard and Ramona, her brother Jerry, her Son-in-law Damian and her grandson Nicolas. There will be a graveside service held at the Rush Valley’s Clover Cemetery on April 1, 2017.

Roger Andre DeLaney Sr. passed away peacefully in the morning hours of March 4, 2017. Roger was born March 11, 1931 in Provo, Utah to Andre and Lila DeLaney. Roger spent his youth in Blanding, Utah working on local ranches punching cows, working with horses and perfecting his dutch oven sour dough biscuits. Roger attended school in San Juan, while in High School, Roger was active in the FFA. Roger also Played Basketball, Baseball and ran track. Roger graduated from San Juan High School in 1949. After Graduation Roger continued to work on cattle ranches until he volunteered to join the United States Marines. Roger served in Korea following the conflict. Roger served in the Marines from 1950-1954, making the promotion of a Sargent. After leaving the Marines Roger returned to Southern Utah to work in the Uranium mines and to continue working on the cattle ranches. Roger married Faye Davis in Lasal, Utah on Sept. 10, 1960. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple Sept. 10, 1982. Roger moved his family to Grantsville in 1966, and he began his career working at the Tooele Army Depot, retiring in Sept. of 1993. During his time in Grantsville Roger was active in the Riding Club, youth riding club and coached his sons in baseball. Roger developed a reputation as a horseman, Roger had people throughout the western states bring him horses to be trained. Roger was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. Roger was always there to cheer on his Children and Grandchildren in all that they done. Roger spent many hours traveling around to watch Rodeo’s, Football games, and Wrestling matches. Roger loved to be around horses, and enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren about horsemanship, hunting and Dutch Ovens. Roger always had a good horse to ride, even as he aged he would still love to saddle up and go for a ride in the flats above Grantsville. Roger was preceded in Death by his Parents, an older sister Marie, Son Rodney, and a grandson Tyler. Roger is survived by his sweetheart Faye DeLaney, Sons Roger Jr.(Shelli) of Grand Junction, Colo. Richard, Robert ( Jennifer), Bryan (Dani), David (Katie) of Grantsville. One little princess Sam DeLaney of Tooele, Ut. 28 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchilren. Sister Arlene Benson of LaVerkin, Ut and Joann McCosh of Ephraim, Ut. , Ernistine Chad of Mancos, Colo. A Brother David Coppinger of Mancos, Colo. And Many other relatives and Friends. Roger touched a lot of peoples lives, and was always there to help someone in need. Roger spent his later years enjoying the company of his grandchildren and Great grandchildren always smiling when they would come to visit. Semper Fi. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Grantsville 3rd Ward, 428 S Hale, Grantsville, Utah. A Viewing will the night prior (Tuesday) from 6:00-8:00 pm and 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the same location. Interment will be at Grantsville Cemetery.

Kary Dee Nicoletti Lamb, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away March 5, 2017 after a struggle with cancer. Kary was born on April 10, 1946 to Tony and Betty Nicoletti of Butterfield Canyon, Utah. She was raised on a goat ranch where her family was well known for making wonderful European cheeses. In 1964 Kary graduated from Bingham High School and married Andy Johnson in the fall that same year. Andy and Kary had 5 children and were married for 12 years. In 1976 Kary moved to the Heber Valley area and ran the Prairie Cafe in Charleston, Utah. She met Warren Fitzgerald there in 1980 and the two were married. They moved to the Lehi/American Fork area where they raised their families and were married for 10 years. Kary moved back to the Heber Valley area in 1990 and later met and married Jerry Lamb. The two worked in Deer Valley and Park City Resorts in property management. Later they settled in Elberta, Utah where their grandsons made many fond memories; having fun with their spunky grandma and enjoying wide open spaces. In 2013 Kary and Jerry made their final move to Wendover, Utah where she lived out the remainder of her life in the small town atmosphere that she preferred. Kary never met a stranger. She was always warm and friendly to everyone she met. She was known for her cooking and hospitality and carried on a long family tradition of Italian Sunday dinners where everyone was welcome! Kary was always the life of the party and had a fantastic and vibrant personality. She will be missed by all. Proceeded in death by her son Andrew Johnson, grandson's Cole and Christopher Johnson, nephews Christian and Dallon, sibling Jimmy Denas, and parents Tony and Betty Nicoletti. Survived by husband Jerry Lamb, children Shon Johnson, Kim (Mitch) Haight, Anthony (Crystal) Johnson, Mario (Kristy) Johnson, siblings Tona Hill, Louie Nicoletti, Keli Cummings, and Michele Nicoletti, and sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 11th, 2017 at the Cedar Fort LDS Chapel, 185 E. Center Street, Cedar Fort, Utah. Visitation 2 – 3 P.M., Service 3 P.M., followed by a graveside service at the Cedar Fort Cemetery.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Jeanie Coon Palmer (68), unexpectedly passed away from a serious infection, March 7, 2017. She was born in the hearts of two loving parents, Roland and LaRue Coon on March 10, 1948. Her arrival was a blessing after years of longing for a baby. She loved her childhood in Erda where she spent numerous hours with the Warr and Gull families, who have remained lifelong friends. She also enjoyed cookouts with her cousins and going to girls camp. Jeanie graduated from Tooele High School in 1966 and then spent several years working at the Army Depot. She met her husband, Jimmy Dean, at a church activity. They were married on a very cold foggy day, December 15, 1972, in the Salt Lake Temple. They built their life together in Grantsville. Jeanie never forgot her Erda roots and spent every summer keeping score at the ballpark and eating burnt hot dogs and brownies. You can take a girl out of Erda but you can't take Erda out of the girl! Jeanie also enjoyed her years working at Key Bank. She was a member of the LDS church and loved her Heavenly Father. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was very proud to share their accomplishments with everyone she met. She never missed a game and supported her children in every endeavor. Her heart of gold, made those who were not family feel as if they were. Her greatest attribute was the love and compassion she had for others and an unexpected flower arrangement or a cold Pepsi were her favorite gifts to give. Jeanie is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dean Palmer, children Rick (Amy) Palmer, Kari (Ben) Lawton, Kami (Nate) Brown, Robbie (Mindy) Palmer, and Randy (Brittany) Palmer, brother Glen (Marcia) Coon, sister Suzanne (Allen) Adamson, and 17 grandchildren that meant the world to her. In-laws Harry and Doris Standing, Beatrice (Dean) Johnson, Brenda (Blaine) Livingston, Treasa (Larry) Perkins, Shirlene (David) Remington, Greg (Deanna) Palmer, Michelle (Troy) Giles, Brett (Cindy) Palmer, DeAnn (Bill) Christiansen, 46 nieces and nephews and countless others too numerous to list. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13 at 1:00 pm at the Grantsville Stake Center, 550 East Durfee Street. A viewing will be held the evening before, at the same location from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and also before the funeral from 11:00 – 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Grantsville City Cemetery.

Elizabeth “Tippi” Ann Phelps Wicker, born October 26, 1946 to Harold and Sunshine Phelps, in Paducah, KY, passed peacefully early Saturday, March 11th 2017 in Tooele, UT. She went to Sharpe Elementary School in Marshall County, KY. Graduated from Reidland HS and attended Murray State, graduating with a Master's in Social Work.She received her addiction specialty from Rollins College in Orlando, FL and worked in the field of addiction for 35 years. The number of lives she touched is unfathomable. Her kindness, love, and generosity of heart knew no limits and that showed in every life she was blessed enough to touch. In retirement she chose to continue touching lives with her healing grace by working with hospice, as well as a beloved substitute teacher for Tooele County School District. She dedicated her life to helping others and to her son, L. Dale Wicker and the family that loved her unconditionally, daughter in law Kimberly, grandchildren Keagan and Caitlin, and the dogs, Bailey and Thane. Her final wishes were for those that loved her to celebrate her arrival to her Heavenly Father, therefore, a Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, Tippi would have loved a donation to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, www.myasthenia.org.

Pat was born on December 22nd 1943 to Crayton J. Campbell and La Verda Wade Campbell in Silver Fork, Utah. In passing she was surrounded by many family members as she reunited with her loving husband Merril Kay Andrews on March 16, 2017. After graduating from Cyprus high school she married the love of her life Merril Kay Andrews on July 3, 1962. She loved to be surrounded by her family and pets. She was kind and generous and loved to help any family member in any way. Pat was survived by her daughters Beverly Dalton, Kim Pilcher (Joe Pilcher), Nancy Andrews(Tom Junyszek), Sharon Kelley (Bill Kelley) 10 grand kids and eight great grand children, Two brothers Crayton Gene Campbell (Gail Campbell), Lewis Glen Campbell (Bonnie Campbell). She was preceded in death by her husband Merril Kay Andrews, father Crayton J. Campbell, mother La Verda Wade Campbell and brother Elbert Campbell. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21st at 11 a.m. at the LDS church, 428 South Hale St. Grantsville, UT. Friends may call at Didericksen Memorial for viewing at 87 West Main Street Grantsville, UT, Monday, March 20th from 6 – 8 p.m. and 10 – 11 a.m. before services on Tuesday (428 S. Hale, Grantsville, UT). Interment in the Grantsville City Cemetery immediately following.

Robert Charles Shipman was reunited with his sweetheart on April 7th , 2017. Bob was born 20 June 1949 in Hartford, CT to Charles and Marjorie Shipman. He was raised by Gertrude Lewis. He served a LDS Mission to Los Angeles, CA. Bob married his sweetheart Kathy on the 17th of June 1972. They were later eternally sealed in the Los Angeles Temple on the 15th of January 1974. They had four sons Michael-James (Stephanie), Jason Robert (Linda), and twin boys Kelly David & Shawn Patrick (Rachel). Bob was grandfather to 10 Grandchildren Gregory-Robert (Hannah), Kristy Lynn (David) Bullock, Emmalee, Lucas, Sterling, Alyxandra, Jonah, Shawn, Abby, & Kayla. He was a Great Grandpa to Brandon James Bullock. His Grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved spending time with his Great Grandson. Bob worked for Salt Lake County for over 20 years. He was a coach to many sports teams for the county over the years and we could not go anywhere without Bob knowing someone he coached or knew from his work. Bob was a hardworking man who taught his sons the meaning of a good day’s work. He was an active member of the LDS church for as long as his earthly body would allow him to be. He was a best friend and companion to all who approached him. He will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew him. He is returning to his sweetheart Kathy, who passed away in 2014. Bob was reunited with many waiting family members beyond the veil. The family is grateful to the Hospice team and his doctors over the last couple years that gave Bob comfort. They allowed him to pass comfortably and at peace in his home. Mike & Stephanie also want to thank the Houghton and Farnworth Families for adopting Bob as one of their own in his last remaining years. They want the families to know how much Bob truly enjoyed his time spent amongst them. Funeral Services will be held at LDS Chapel located at 752 N. 520 E. Friday, April 14th, 2017. Viewing will be held from 9 A.M. to 11 A. M. with services following. Interment will follow and Tooele City Cemetery.
